Levicks are pleased to announce that we are the first accountants in Maidstone and Broadstairs licensed by ICAEW to undertake reserved legal work.
We can handle all work necessary for obtaining probate when it is a non-contentious estate.
Having built relationships with you our clients, we are perfectly placed to use our knowledge to make a difficult time easier and more comfortable to deal with.
We confirm we are licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales to carry out the reserved legal activity of non-contentious probate in England & Wales.
Our fees for probate depends upon the service required and set out below our fee basis:
| Completion of IHT205 (2011) to obtain Grant of Probate | £750 + vat |
| Completion of IHT205 (2011) and IHT217 to obtain Grant of Probate | £900 + vat |
| Completion of IHT400 and supplementary forms where no tax due | £1,600 + vat |
| Completion of IHT400 and supplementary forms where tax liability arises | From £1,800 – £2,500 + vat |
Where we are instructed to assist in the administration of the estate we are happy to provide a quotation for the additional work once we know the extent of work required.
This will be based on an hourly rate of Partner £170, Qualified Assistant £90.
We confirm either Jamie Sunnucks or Joy Bishop, Partners, will oversee all work undertaken.
Additional charges you will have to incur in obtaining the Grant are set by HM Courts & Tribunal service as set out on PA3 http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/probate-fees-from-april-2014-pa3. These fees will be in addition to our fees detailed above.
